Our History

• Buddo SS opened its gates on 4th/Feb/1991 with ten students in a humble setting on Buddo Hillside, Kyengera Town Council in Wakiso District. • It was founded by profound, resilient and professional Educationists headed by Mr. Muwonge Lawrence under the guidance and Chairmanship of Mr. Mujumba John Bosco the Chairman Private Schools Association in Uganda then.

Legal Status

• Buddo Secondary School is a privately owned institution fully registered with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Sports as a Boarding Mixed “O” And “A” Level Secondary School. • Buddo Secondary School acquired its Selection Code issued upon its registration by the Ministry as 1507.

Our Religious Beliefs

The school is interdenominational. Students attend prayers according to their religious affiliation declared by their parents on admission. E.g. Protestants have a chaplain, Catholics have a chaplain, Muslims attend Juma prayers every Friday and Adventists are also catered for as well.

Buddo Secondary School boasts modern classrooms, science labs, libraries, sports facilities, and dormitories, providing a conducive learning environment for academic excellence and holistic student development.

Buddo SS Sick bay

A dedicated sick bay that ensures adequate privacy for patients, who can be treated without interruption in quiet and confidential surroundings. Our sick bay is available 24 hours whenever needed. If it has a shared use, there may be times when this isn't practical. We have enough first aid kits to meet the needs of our student & staff population. Our first aid kits are within easy reach of every location in the school, including remote areas such as school fields & school vehicles.

Buddo SS Environment

Our positive school atmosphere encourages student attendance, a factor that helps cure many school woes. It also helps reduce stress in teachers and students and boosts a more positive mindset in everyone involved. Some studies even suggest that school climate is a key factor in student achievement and teacher retention
